Visitors at last

English version after the pictures.

Igjen har det glippet for meg med utgivelse av en blog hver uke. Det ble litt travelt med jobb forrige uke, så fikk vi gjester som ikke hjalp situasjonen heller. Vi fikk besøk av Andy (gammel universitetsvenn av Nigel) og hans yngste datter Sophie (13). Med en helg og et par fridager fra jobb, fikk i være turister litt - og fikk med oss mye av severdighetene i Qatar. Det ble en tur gjennom ørkenen til "inland sea", kamelridning for Sophie, kjøring på firhjulte morotsykler i sanddynene, en tur til Museum of Islamic Art, enda en ørken tur, enda et museum, og mye avslappende virksomhet ved bassenget der vi bor. Det ble en fin uke for oss og gjestene. Nå har vi huset til oss selv igjen - som også er deilig. Klikk på bildene for å se dem i full størrelse.

Again I have slipped on my own ambition - failing to produce a blog last week. Things were a bit hectic here with a lot of long days at work combined with preparing to receive guests. We have had a most pleasant week with Andy (old friend of Nigel from university) and his youngest daughter Sophie (13). In addition to a weekend, we also took a couple of days off work to be tourists with them. Our activities included a drive through the desert to the "Inland Sea", a camel ride for Sophie, riding four wheeled motorbikes over the sand dunes, visiting the Museum of Islamic Art and another museum of various artefacts and vintage cars. There was plenty of time for lounging by the pool too in some lovely weather.
